Yogurt has always been one of my favorite things to eat for breakfast or as a snack. Over time, the types and ways I eat my yogurt has changed greatly. When I used to eat yogurt, I would eat a super sweet yogurt that you flip the little granola pieces into. If I were to eat one of those yogurts now, though, I am sure I would find it way too sweet for my tastes.
My new favorite yogurt is a pack of multiple flavors of Greek yogurt (vanilla, strawberry, peach, and blueberry) that has less sugar than normal.
The Creation of the Bowl
A few months ago, Katherine made a bowl of yogurt with chia seeds, frozen blueberries, and peanut butter piled on top. Later, when I tried my own, it tasted amazing. The peanut butter and chia seeds added protein and texture to the yogurt, and the blueberries added flavor and kept the peanut butter from being too sticky.
Since that first bowl, we have made many variations using banana, almond butter, granola, mini chocolate chips, and hemp hearts. They are all delicious, filling, and an awesome way to start your day.
Let's Get Assembling!
To start, get your yogurt and sprinkle enough chia seeds so that they cover the entire top of the yogurt. Next, scoop a liberal amount of peanut butter. To top it off, cover the entire bowl with frozen (or fresh) blueberries. Yum!
