I love frosting! But doesn't everyone? This frosting is my favorite lemon buttercream frosting and it can soon be yours too!

I used this frosting on a vanilla cake that I made for mother's day and it was reallllllly goooood! My whole family enjoyed the cake.

Notes:

  • This frosting is not too sweet (because its better that way).

  • This recipe makes enough for a thin layer of frosting between each layer, and to cover a 3 layer cake.

  • You can leave the milk out or add a little more to change the consistency to they way you want it to be.

  • Before starting make sure the butter is at room temperature to get the correct consistency of your frosting.

Lets get mixing and frosting!

Lemon Butter Cream Frosting
By: Allie Reback Time: 10-15 min

Ingredients:
2 sticks and 4tbs butter
2 tsp lemon zest (one lemon)
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
3 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp milk
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
Directions:
1. Beat butter in a large bowl.
2. Add powdered sugar in sections so it doesn't fly everywhere.
3. Add the remaining ingredients and beat until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
4. Use delicious frosting to frost your favorite cakes or cupcakes.

Enjoy!
